The wordpress starter course was very interesting and good fun. Julie was a great teacher, moving the pace along briskly, but making sure everyone kept up. I’m back from maternity leave and I’m delighted to confirm our next WordPress.com Starter Course on February 20th, 2013.

The Starter Course will cover how to set up a free WordPress.com account, how to change themes and widgets in the sidebar, and how to create posts on your blog and static pages like on a normal website. You will be able to upload photos to your posts and pages, create galleries and slide shows out of them and create a navigation bar, categories and tags. You will also learn how to change your personal settings, how to use the visual editor, allow or disallow comments and how to fight spam.

This course was filled quickly in a few days with one more place available after a cancellation yesterday. If you are interested in participating please let me know by email or give me a call.

Julie prepared an excellent customised WordPress course for us. She was very generous with her time, meeting us beforehand to look at our existing site and consulting with us to prepare a course which was tailored to our specific needs and requirements. The manuals she produced were also customised for our existing site and are a great guide for all our staff when adding content and updating our site. The training that Julie provided on the day was extremely well structured and easy to follow. I attended one of Julies WordPress training programs recently in Dublin City Center. I have to say the course was excellent, her teaching and presenting style was very relaxed but very effective. Everyone received individual attention which meant no one in the class was left behind. I am looking forward to when Julie will be running the next more advanced WordPress course. WordPress starter course was ideal for an introduction to creating your own blog/website. It was well organised, easy to understand and extremely informative. We were supplied with a handbook to take home with us which definitely comes in handy. The course was well structured in a way that maximised our learning time and even allowed time for ad-hoc questions and some problem based learning.
