Our next WordPress Starter Training is confirmed for Tuesday April 29th. We will meet at 9.45am and finish around 2pm. The training will be held at the Open College in Dublin 18.
We will cover how to set up a free WordPress.com account, how to change themes and widgets in the sidebar, upload your own header, how to create and edit posts on your blog and static pages like on a normal website. You will be able to upload photos to your posts and pages, and create galleries and slide shows out of them. You will learn how to create a navigation bar, add internal and external links and how to use categories and tags for navigation and SEO purposes. You will also learn how to change your personal settings, how to use the visual editor, allow or disallow comments and how to fight spam.
The WordPress Starter Course is limited to 8 participants and will be filled on a first come, first served basis. All participants will receive a manual with step-by-step instructions on all topics covered during the training. Please note you will need to bring a laptop on the day.
The training facility is 5 minutes walking distance from the green Luas line (Leopardstown Valley stop) and 2 minutes drive from the M50 with free parking.
